If you have not already done it then locate the oil pressure switch on your LC which is located on the right side of the bike just above the floorboard (Image). Remove the factory screw and wire and remove the sending unit.

For me the easiest way I found was to screw the factory sending unit into the side of the "T" block and then screw that assembly back into the engine. The factory sending unit is smaller than the new sending unit and it would fit sideways where the new one would not(Image).

One the assembly is installed add the new sending unit which will point with the electrical blades straight out. Connect the original factory wire to the original factory sending unit. Make a short piece of wire (6" is sufficient) and solder a blade terminal on one end, and a round terminal on the other end. Connect the blade terminal to one blade of the new sending unit, connect the other to a suitable ground as shown here.

On the other connector of the new sending unit connect a black 14AWG wire with a soldered blade terminal. This wire needs to be long enough that it will route to the headlight bucket. At this point we are done with this area of the bike. You might want to start it up and make sure that there are no leaks around the oil pressure fittings.
